Cabinets
Two manufacturers. Two different answers.
One is semi-custom and built to order in seven wood species. The other is framed, all-plywood and quick to get in twenty-two finishes. Which is right depends on things nobody puts in a brochure — so here is what each is actually made of.
Start here
Choose the manufacturer first
The door style and the colour are decisions you can change your mind about for weeks. This one sets your lead time, your price and what is possible at all, so it is worth five minutes.

Every door front we show
Filter by profile to see the same shape across both manufacturers, then open the door you like to read what it is made of and request a sample.

Door front photography is supplied by the manufacturers and is representative of the profile and the finish, not of a specific door. Wood species vary in grain and colour from piece to piece — the rustic species deliberately so — and printed and on-screen colour never matches a finished door exactly. Order a sample door before you commit to a kitchen.
If you only read one thing
How to pick between them in a minute
You want a specific paint colour
Wellborn Forest. Their custom programme matches any Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore colour. US Cabinet Depot has twenty-two finishes and no colour matching at all.
You want real wood grain on show
Wellborn Forest, in seven species. US Cabinet Depot has five stained finishes on birch and everything else is painted HDF.
You need it soon
US Cabinet Depot. It is a stocked range rather than a made-to-order one, and that is most of the difference between the two.
It is a rental, a flip or a basement
US Cabinet Depot, comfortably. Plywood box, dovetail drawers and soft-close hardware as standard is more cabinet than most of those projects need.
You want to see the face frame
Wellborn Forest. They offer a half-overlay option with a 1-1/4 inch reveal; US Cabinet Depot is full overlay only.
Your kitchen is an awkward shape
Wellborn Forest, because a made-to-order line has more sizes and more modifications available than a stocked one.
Next step
Come and handle the doors
A door front in your hand under your own kitchen lights tells you more than any screen will. We keep samples of both lines at the Granby showroom — bring a countertop chip and a photo of the room and we will put them together.
